Mental Nutrition

I am going to start a new blog series on the importance of always having the right mind set, or paradigm. If our goals are to be healthy and happy, I would argue that the mental side of the coin is much more important than the physical side. By committing to CrossFit and Paleo your physical health is in good hands. However, we need to constantly remind ourselves to have the right state of mind and focus on the right things. When we don't fill our minds with positive thoughts, negative thoughts flood in and fill any openings. We have all experienced this before when we doubt ourselves during a wod. The fear of not finishing and the little voice that tells you to quit are just a few examples. But when you focus on your form or repeat our mantra of it's "Fun and Easy!" those negative thoughts disappear. It is said that our minds can only think one thought at a time so keep it positive!!!

This series is going to consist of great quotes, inspirational stories, and eye opening perspectives. Feel free to email me any submissions you guys want to share. Let's start with a short and sweet reminder to always be grateful. Develop an Attitude of Gratitude and every problem will seem insignificant, every meal will be a feast, and every day will feel like Christmas.

"I had the blues because I had no shoes,

Until upon the street, I met a man who had no feet."

Thanks for the reminder to think happy thoughts! It's tough for me to do when push ups are kicking my ass!
